On the Issues
Committed to Community
Limits on government specified in the U.S. Constitution were meant to restrain it from violating the rights of the people. Those who are elected to represent others bear a special burden of responsibility to safeguard our freedoms. Solutions to Cleveland County's challenges are best crafted with the involvement of local community members in cooperation with elected officials who know that government exists to serve rather than make demands. By advocating for responsible zoning laws, sensible regulations, and cutting bureaucratic red tape, Clint Rapp will foster an environment where businesses can thrive and residents can enjoy the benefits of a vibrant and prosperous community.
Protect Private Property
The term "private property" loses its meaning when government employs eminent domain in order to force landowners to surrender their homes, land, and often thereby their livelihoods, in order to repurpose those properties. "Fair market compensation" does not atone for the destruction of homes, memories, or histories, nor does it ensure that relocating to a similar dwelling or tract of land is feasible. Clint Rapp recognizes that the practice of eminent domain is an affront to private property ownership and security, and it has no place in Cleveland County.
Medical Marijuana Advocate
The individual right to make one's own choices regarding healthcare includes exploring alternative treatment options like medical cannabis. Clint Rapp supports the legalization of medical marijuana and will champion medical freedom and compassionate care.
